LCD driver test system doubles throughput
Addressing a surge in demand for liquid crystal displays, the Advantest T6371 offers twice the throughput offered by previous test systems.
The merger, effective from the 1st December 2001, brings together the sales, engineering, and administration activities in one company.
The managing director is Josef Schratzenstaller.
The R and D company ACT Advanced Circuit Testing Gesellschaft fur Testentwicklung is not involved in the merger.
Josef Schratzenstaller states, "The focus in Europe will continue to be on customer support and service as well as further expanding our established engineering capacity in order to provide even better service to our international customers.
Our on-site presence is proof of our commitment to meet the industry's needs.
The worldwide economic downturn, the drastic drop in the demand for semiconductors, and over capacity in the semiconductor fabs are all factors, which have motivated Advantest Corporation and consequently Advantest Europe to revise our business approach.
The goal is to counteract the effects of the current situation and lay the groundwork for a successful future".
