Tester meets Openstar requirements
The Advantest T2000 Series has been certified by the Semiconductor Test Consortium as the industry's first system to meet the Open Semiconductor Test Architecture (Openstar) standard.
Advantest expects to sell 120 systems in its first year.
The T2000 Series complies with the Openstar platform recently introduced by the Semiconductor Test Consortium (STC), an industry-wide organisation that incorporated in the USA earlier this year.
Advantest is one the founding members of the STC.
Previously, test systems were designed for specific use, such as for microprocessors and microcontrollers.
However, because of its modular design and flexible architecture, the T2000 Series can easily be configured to accommodate a wide range of applications.
A key feature of the T2000 is its ability to support high-speed data transfer via the high-speed bus and communication port.
Concurrent tests are also possible.
It is also possible to provide direct interface to EDA products.
