Test company named a recipient of Intel's Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for outstanding performance in providing products and services deemed essential to Intel's success.

Advantest has been named a recipient of Intel's Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for outstanding performance in providing products and services deemed essential to Intel's success The company was recognised for its efforts in supplying Intel with testers and handlers for system on a chip (SOC), memory and mixed signal devices

Advantest and 43 additional PQS award winners were to be honoured at a celebration in Burlingame, California on 27th March.

"Advantest is very gratified to be named a Preferred Quality Supplier by Intel, a company that is recognised around the world for innovation, vision and excellence, and we are privileged to be part of Intel's continuing quality improvement efforts".

"Once again they have demonstrated their commitment to improving total cost through quality and innovation", says Ashoke Seth, Director, Intel Test Operation.

The PQS award is part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Improvement (SCQI) process that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement.

To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80 % on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and responsiveness goals.

Suppliers must also manage and deliver on a challenging improvement plan and a quality systems assessment.

Intel will also recognise PQS award winners on 27th March, 2007 with an advertisement in the US, Europe, and Asian editions of The Wall Street Journal.
