Smaller cPCI range gains rear I/O option

Adlink Technology has added a rear I/O interface to its 3U CompactPCI products.

Adlink Technology has added a rear I/O interface to its 3U CompactPCI products In addition to the existing rear I/O interface for its 6U CompactPCI product lines, the 3U CompactPCI products with rear I/O interface provides customers with a complete and alternative solution

CompactPCI form factors allows for front I/O connectivity to be routed through the backplane via J2/P2, J3/P3, J4/P4 and J5/P5 connector pairs allowing rear I/O transition modules to be inserted, providing for efficient trouble-shooting and servicing of a system.

All cabling is managed via the transition board, enhancing the reliability and availability of the system while running diagnostics or conducting maintenance.

With most of the front I/O connections being moved to the rear I/O interface, more status LED maybe mounted on the front panel providing operators with a visual status of the present state of the system and also enhancing the overall presentation of the system.

The rear I/O transition board not only provides signal connection between the board and external devices, but also allows signal connection for internal devices.

The SCSI interface board, for example, can connect SCSI RAID devices through a rear I/O transition board, adding signal-conditioning functionalities for data acquisition modules.

CompactPCI products with rear I/O interfaces are commonly used in telecommunication equipment; however, Adlink also makes this feature available to industrial measurement and automation equipment with 3U CompactPCI products.

Adlink provides a complete product portfolio with rear I/O interface applying to data acquisition and telecommunication. Request a free brochure from Adlink Technology ...
