Redundant cooling keeps cPCI subsystem running
Adlink Technology has added a 9U-height 32/64bit CompactPCI subsystem to its 6U product line, the cPCIS-3330 series.
Adlink Technology has added a 9U-height 32/64bit CompactPCI subsystem to its 6U product line, the cPCIS-3330 series.
The cPCIS-3330 supports eight slots configurable with one system controller and up to seven peripheral boards with support for PICMG 2.5 H.110 computer telephony bus.
In addition to the 3+1 hot swappable 750W+250W PICMG 2.11 CompactPCI redundant power supply with universal AC input suitable for power-consuming applications, the cPCIS-3330 also houses 12 (5+5+2) hot swappable fans, five fans for air intake and five fans for ventilation.
The redundant cooling system eliminates concerns over additional heat dissipation from higher CPU speed with high volume addon cards.
The telco-grade cPCIS-3330 series is designed to meet NEBS Level 3 installation and is protected with a magnetic circuit breaker on the AC input.
Its design of guarded power on/off switch prevents the system from shutting down caused by external accidents.
The product is also easily integrated with RAID and storage devices with two 5.25in drive bays and one 3.5in drive bay.
In addition to its compliance with PICMG 2.0 CompactPCI R3.0 and PICMG 2.5 Computer Telephony Bus R1.0 specifications, the cPCIS-3330 series also complies with PICMG 2.1 hot swap 32 or 64bit eight-slot CompactPCI backplane with P3 and P5 rear I/O.
With FCC Class B compliance, the cPCIS-3330 provides the best protection against any electromagnetic emission.
The chassis's monitoring alarm LED for voltages, fan and temperature on the front panel also provides an easy on-site management.
Integrated with the world's first dual Intel Xeon processor based CompactPCI SBC, cPCI-6860, the cPCIS-3330 series is suitable for media gateways, signalling gateways, voice portals, soft-switch, SS7 management server, intelligent network, high performance technical computing for scientific or image processing, high availability mission critical applications, and any application that demands for fast MTR with the best reliability and scalability.
