Card controls up to 12 servos

A new generation of PCIbus motion control cards uses the high-performance SSCNET servo system control network from Mitsubishi Electric Co.

A new generation of PCIbus motion control cards uses the high-performance SSCNET servo system control network from Mitsubishi Electric Co The PCI-8372/8366 is a 32bit PCIbus motion control card designed for insertion into a personal computer or an industrial computer accompanied with a Mitsubishi MR-J2S-B type servo amplifier

The PCI-8372 can control up to 12 servo amplifiers, where as the PCI-8366 can control up to six.

The connection between the PCI-8372/8366 and the amplifier is done via high-speed serial communication of the SSCNET II protocol.

The SSCNET is a highly reliable system with reduced wiring.

The SSCNET uses the high-speed synchronous serial communication method, and is optimal for synchronous operation.

It greatly reduces maintenance costs and damages caused by operator errors.

Since commands are transmitted in serial data form, noise-reduction is enhanced and reliability is also improved.

Key features of the PCI-8372/8366 include: maximum 12/6 control axes, 100MHz onboard DSP, 32bit resolution support, easy wiring up to 30m, dual isolated digital I/Os and six TTL digital outputs, multiple-axis linear interpolation, any two axes circular interpolation, an easy-to-use function library and MotionCreator utility.

For customers who are writing their own programs, Adlink provides Windows 98/NT/2000/XP for the PCI-8372/8366.

A Windows based utility, MotionCreator, is also available for machine testing, parameter setting and turning without any programming efforts.

This product is ideal for a variety of industrial applications such as electric assembly, LCD testing equipment, semiconductor machinery and machine tools. Request a free brochure from Adlink Technology ...
