For only US $299, the PCI-3488 provides an interface between GPIB instruments and PCI-equipped systems that is compliant with IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 standards.

Adlink Technology has released its first PCIbus GPIB interface controller card, the PCI-3488.

For only US $299, the PCI-3488 provides an interface between GPIB instruments and PCI-equipped systems that is compliant with IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 standards.

The Adlink PCI-3488 has been hardware and software verified with a large range of products and their applications.

It supports popular application development environments such as VB, VC, Delphi, LabView and TestExec, and features "drop-in" compatibility with customers' existing test and measurement applications.

The Adlink PCI-3488 is 32bit/33MHz PCI bus compatible and represents Adlink's innovated technologies in PCI adapter hardware design.

Its PCI interface supports both 3.3 and 5V PCI environments, to make it suitable for most desktop computers and industrial PCs.

In addition, the PCI-3488's 1Kbyte onboard FIFO and high-speed bus control state machine implemented by CPLD gives a maximum 1.5Mbyte/s data transfer rate to satisfy the high volume data transfer requirements between instruments and computers.

The Adlink PCI-3488 supports Windows 98/NT/2000/XP, and its driver library is compatible with NI-488.2 command sets.

Programs written with NI-488.2 commands such as ibdev, ibrd, and ibwrt are compatible with the PCI-3488 without recompilation.

For Visa library users, the PCI-3488 supports the Agilent I/O Library and NI VISA as well as most existing instrument drivers.
