The PCI-7260 is billed as the world's first true high-power relay output card for industrial automation and machine control.

Adlink Technology has released a new high power relay output card, the PCI-7260.

The PCI-7260 is the world's first true high-power relay output card for industrial automation and machine control.

Each of its eight channels is capable of switching 5A current at 250V AC or 5A current at 30V DC.

Its pluggable front-panel connector gives consideration to both carrying high current and easy wiring.

The PCI-7260 also provides eight isolated digital input channels with debouncing circuits to eliminate signal jitter.

The most impressive features of the PCI-7260 are its safety considerations.

To carry high current over the PCB, the trace space, trace width and copper thickness are carefully designed to follow the guidelines of the EN61010-1 safety standard.

A high-power pluggable connector is used instead of the traditional D-sub connector in order to support an 8A rated current.

Furthermore, the PCI-7260 provides a hardware implemented emergency shutdown function, which lets users switch all relays to a safety state by giving a digital signal to EMG_SHDN input from the front panel.

The Adlink PCI-7260 supports 3.3 and 5V Universal PCIbus, as well as Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and Linux operating systems.

Its high switching capacity, safety considerations and other advanced features make the PCI-7260 an ideal model for industrial automation and machine control applications.
