Adlink Technology is set to shine in the industrial and embedded computing section of Computex Taipei 2006.

Adlink Technology is set to shine in the industrial and embedded computing section of Computex Taipei 2006 when it showcases innovations in industrial application platforms tailor-fit for datacomms, telecomms, surveillance, industrial automation and remote test and measurement.

Computex 2006 is the world's largest IT exposition and runs from 6th to 10th June 2006 at the Taipei World Trade Centre (TWTC).

"Our complete solutions for next-generation telecom and data communication infrastructures based on the AdvancedTCA collaboration are Adlink's answer to the growing popularity of this standard throughout the industrial computing world", said Adlink President Jim Liu.

Liu added that Adlink will unveil a high-performance, industry-standard AdvancedTCA modular communications platform consisting of a PICMG 3.0-compliant shelf with computing and switching blades.

The computing blades are developed using dual Intel Xeon low voltage processors, coupled with the Intel E7520 chipset.

"These innovations solidify our continuing leadership in embedded data and telecommunications field, powered by high-calibre experience and superior after-sales support", Liu asserted.

"By utilising the Intel Xeon low voltage processor for Modular Communications Platforms, Adlink is able to quickly deliver high performance and energy efficient solutions to the market", said Joe Jensen, General Manager, Modular Platform Programs in the Intel Communications Infrastructure Group.

"Modular communications platforms based on Intel Architecture is fast emerging to become the platform of choice for telecom equipment manufacturers worldwide".

At Computex 2006, Adlink will showcase total surveillance and network security solutions through state-of-art technologies covering both hardware and software components.

Adlink will also release an advanced PCI-to-PCI extension system capable of extending the host computer's PCIbus to an external chassis, making expansion easy for various remote test and measurement applications.

A wide range of CompactPCI, computer modules, single board computers (SBCs), industrial motherboards, and computers-on-modules that deliver faster time to market advantage will also be highlights of Adlink's exhibit.
