Industrial motherboard boasts Core Duo power
FlexATX industrial motherboard uses Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset and supports revolutionary Intel Core 2 Duo processor for performance and energy efficiency.
Bringing the benefits of dual-core processing to industrial platforms, Adlink Technology has released the M-885 - the first FlexATX industrial motherboard to adopt the Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset and support the revolutionary Intel Core 2 Duo processor for superior balance of performance and energy efficiency.
With a 667MHz Front Side Bus, up to 2Gbyte dual-channel DDR2 memory, and a potent integrated graphics engine, the M-885 provides robust performance for multitasking and memory-intensive applications required by gaming consoles, ATMs, interactive terminals, and automation control systems.
Aside from its support for high-performance, low-power CPUs, the M-885 is an outstanding product for its compact FlexATX footprint which is 32% smaller than the traditional micro-ATX form factor, allowing the M-885 to fit a variety of industrial chassis designs and customisations.
"The M-885 satisfies the current industry craving for a powerhouse platform that is big in performance, but low on power consumption".
"By combining Intel technologies with Adlink expertise, the M-885 exhibits the highest performance per watt ratio compared with other industrial motherboards, and shows a dramatic increase in reliability and durability never before available for embedded platforms", said Stephen Huang, Adlink Vice President for Communications and Embedded Computing Products.
Deployed with low power CPUs, the M-885 keeps heat dissipation to a minimum, thus reducing system slowdown, extending component lifecycle, and making it flexible for broad ranging applications and operating environments.
The M-885 comes with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950, the latest generation of advanced and responsive graphics technology that provides visual quality and faster 2D/3D performance.
The M-885 provides also one channel LVDS with inverter power control for LCD application.
The motherboard comes with an impressive array of I/O, network, and audio interfaces including two Serial ATA ports and a single-channel ATA100 connector for data storage.
The M-885 supports up to six high-speed USB2.0 ports, two RS232 COM ports, a 26-pin parallel port, an IrDA header.
Prepared for applications that demand high-fidelity sound, the M-885 comes with a multichannel high definition audio via the Realtek ALC880 codec.
The M-885 is made from highest grade components that conform to the rigid RoHS requirement, and has passed Adlink's physical and operational stress tests to deliver a powerful platform for today's most modern industries.
The Adlink M-885 motherboard will be available in Q4 2006, priced at US $460.
