Updated DAQ card drivers support the Windows Vista operating system and enable data acquisition and industrial control applications to use all current versions of Windows.

Adlink Technology has delivered new DAQ card drivers that support the Windows Vista operating system and enable data acquisition and industrial control applications to use all current versions of Windows.

With these new Windows drivers, Adlink brings benefits of improved computing performance and system security offered by Windows Vista to data acquisition and industrial control applications.

The new drivers support over a hundred Adlink data acquisition cards in a wide assortment of functions such as simultaneous-sampling DAQ, high-channel-count DAQ, high-speed digital input/output, high-density digital input/output, analogue output, digitisers, and timer/counter; and in a variety of form factors including PCI Express, PCI, CompactPCI and PXI.

The latest Adlink DAQ card drivers support the most popular Windows operating systems, including the 32bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows 98 as well as the 64bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows XP on both the AMD64 and Intel x86-64 system architectures.

With the 64bit editions of the Windows operating systems, memory-intensive applications such as video acquisition and large-scale data processing applications can be developed to take advantage of the enhanced computing performance over the limited 32bit operating systems.

The drivers have valid digital signatures - a new requirement for Windows Vista x64 - ensuring system security.
