Adlink Technology has released the latest member of its computer-on-module range, the Express-NR, a COM Express Type 2 module supporting the Intel Core2 Duo, Core Duo and Celeron M processors.

Based on the Mobile Intel 945GME Express chipset, the Express-NR has very low power consumption and is designed to facilitate speedy development of semi-custom designs.

Adlink's Express-NR is suitable for entry-level industrial applications such as medical diagnostic equipment, industrial automation, gaming, POS (point-of-sales), mobile computing and transportation markets.

The Express-NR provides complete graphics performance with CRT, single/dual channel 24-bit LVDS and TV-out (SDTV and HDTV).

It supports up to 4GB of DDR2 667MHz memory with dual SO-DIMM sockets and provides extensive expansion capabilities with one PCI Express x16 bus and five PCI Express x1 or one PCI Express x4 bus.

A single onboard 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet port, one Serial ATA port, one single Parallel IDE channel and up to eight USB 2.0 ports are I/O features of the Express-NR.

The Adlink computer-on-module product range also includes the server class Express-DW400 module and the Express-MC800.

For 'light' computing application needs, Adlink will release COM Express modules based on the Intel Atom processor for ultra-mobile applications.

This product line will include the Express-MLC and the Express-AT.
