MPEG4 codec shrinks into 3U format

Single 3U form factor CompactPCI MPEG4 codec board encodes up to four concurrent full-size real-time analogue inputs at full frame rate from Pal or NTSC video and audio sources.

New from Advanced Micro Peripherals, the MPEG4CPCI is a single 3U form factor CompactPCI MPEG4 codec board that encodes up to four concurrent full-size real-time analogue inputs at full frame rate from Pal or NTSC video and audio sources It can also decode and playback video and audio recordings from storage

A preview feature allows incoming video to be viewed in real time.

The MPEG4CPCI high performance, low power frame grabber and MPEG4 encoder/decoder is implemented on a space-saving 3U CompactPCI form factor, using a 32bit PCI architecture.

Audio/video synchronisation is provided on each channel.

Text and graphics annotation can be superimposed on any channel.

The high performance MPEG4 video data compression and reduced bus utilisation allows multiple MPEG4CPCI boards within a single CompactPCI system for multi channel video recording and streaming applications.

The MPEG4CPCI operates from 0 to 60C.

An extended temperature -40 to +85C version is available.

Typical applications include remote surveillance, multiple-camera security installations, solid state DVR, Intranet/Internet video streaming, traffic monitoring and control, medical archiving and video acquisition and analysis.

The MPEG4CPCI is supported by a suite of drivers for Windows XP/XPE/2000/NT, Linux etc. Request a free brochure from Advanced Micro Peripherals ...
