Module assures critical DC supplies
Preconditioning power module protects against low-voltage and transient input conditions, supplying a reliable input of up to 120W for DC/DC convertors.
RF module combines position and telemetry
The smart nanoLOC AVR RF module is the first IEEE802.15.4a CSS radio module with precise indoor and outdoor ranging capabilities.
A SIM card module (Z-SIM) based on the MG2455 is also available, and is the first and only product of its type in the current market, enabling various mobile applications with voice communication support.
The chips, manufactured by RadioPulse, a leading provider of ZigBee and LR-WPAN chips, are compliant to ZigBee and IEEE802.15.4 standards, supporting on-chip Flash memory and ZigBee 2006 stack profile.
According to Wang Sung Ho, CEO of RadioPulse: "RadioPulse has worked closely with the ZigBee Alliance to develop the ZigBee compliant chip and stack software".
"We're glad to be the first in the world to release the voice-enabled ZigBee single chip to the market".
The MG245x product family claims world-class performance, with the highest Tx power, highest Rx sensitivity, high datarates and low power consumption compared with existing ZigBee chip offerings.
Each device combines a 2.4GHz RF transceiver with an 8bit microcontroller, a-law/u-law/ADPCM voice codec, 64-key scan, 96Kbyte embedded Flash, 8Kbyte SRAM and 8bit A/D convertor.
There is an embedded voice encryption/decryption codec with I2S interface, and the device supports datarates of 250Kbit/s, 500Kbit/s and 1Mbit/s.
With these new and enhanced features, developers can easily develop wireless applications with smaller-form-factor circuits and lower BOM costs.
The RadioPulse MG245x series is available immediately through Advanced Power Components, the sole UK and Ireland distributor.
