The latest additions to the Hero range of communication products are a Bluetooth module and USB adapter.

The latest additions to the Hero range of communication products are a Bluetooth module and USB adapter Both devices are designed around the CSR BC-02 Bluecore chipset, are Bluetooth Specification V1.1 qualified and are Class 2 (0dBm) devices

The surface mountable module is Flash programmable and upgradeable and has an HCI interface via USB or UART.

The overall dimensions are only 14.5 x 20.9 x 3mm.

Evaluation kits are available for developers for the PC, using either serial or USB interface.

The Bluetooth USB adapter has a USB 1.1 interface and comes with software for managing Bluetooth resources and connectivity with other devices (eg cellular phone, PDA, printer, modem and other peripherals).

Supported profiles include network access, serial port, dial-up networking, file transfer and fax.

Applications for these devices include personal computers, printers, digital still cameras, PDAs, mobile phones and wireless headsets.
