Integrated devices shrink ZigBee applications
The MG245x product family claims world-class performance, with the highest Tx power, highest Rx sensitivity, high datarates and low power consumption compared with existing ZigBee chip offerings.
The PCM-9374 also offers high-speed expansion capability with an onboard PCI-104 connector and is a perfect solution for applications requiring high performance and very low power consumption.
The PCM-9374 has a VIA CLE266 chipset and VIA Eden 400 or 667MHz processors.
A VIA C3-LP 1GHz processor is available as well.
There is one 200-pin SODIMM slot for up to 1Gbyte of DDR200/266 SDDRAM system memory, the board supports dual CRT and LCD (TTL) displays, with an LVDS interface as well.
This board can operate without a fan at temperatures up to 60C, and typically consumes less than 12W while supporting numerous peripherals.
This SBC includes a 4x AGP controller, an AC97 audio interface, a PCI-104 interface and LVDS interface.
Other onboard features include an LPT port, keyboard and mouse ports, five USBs (USB 2.0 compliant), one RS232 and one RS232/422/485.
It has SSD support for one CompactFlash card Type I and Type II.
The PCM-9374 uses a VIA Twister chip with S3 Graphics UniChrome IGP 2D/3D/video accelerator and supports a 4x AGP VGA/LCD interface and up to 64Mbyte frame buffer using system memory.
The board is effective for use as an embedded controller through its ability to add more custom control cards through its fast PCI-104 socket.
The PCM-9374's high quality construction, powerful, fanless processor choices and solid system chipset means it can handle harsh operating environments and make it a perfect for industrial equipment, kiosks and other long life applications.
