The Amtech 7.5A filter D-type connector uses a novel design to provide excellent levels of EMC and yet is built in the same shell dimension as a standard D connector.

The Amtech 7.5A filter D-type connector uses a novel design to provide excellent levels of EMC and yet is built in the same shell dimension as a standard D connector.

It is priced 20% lower than competitive products.

Available from Aerco and held in stock at the company's headquarters in Horsham, this simple and robust solution to electrical interference has a specially designed PCB embedded within the connector shell.

This means that no special EMC back-end fittings are required allowing the assembly to fit into the same space as a conventional D-type connector.

This has the advantage that standard D-types can be upgraded simply and with no redesign of layout.

Different filtration parameters can be applied to each pin in the connector and transient protection is also provided.

Various types of filtration are available including C, Pi and L type, plus a combination of all three.

The connectors conform to MIL-C-24308 and D1N41652 and are available in five different shell sizes with 9, 15, 25, 37 and 50 contacts.

They provide users with the capability to comply with the requirements specified in FCC-part 15, ENSSO22, IEC8O1 and others.

Working voltage is 50-200V and the dielectric withstands a voltage of 125-500V.
