Punch down and earth strap for connector
The RJ-LnxxT IP67 rated, sealed, industrial RJ-45 connectors, available in the UK from Aerco, are now available with IDC punch down and earth strap terminations.
The use of barrier and panel seals ensures that the connector is suitable for general-purpose applications in addition to meeting all the requirements for electrical power distribution.
All outer components are of high-grade thermoplastic, ensuring complete insulation, while inner shell components are made from aluminium alloy to provide reliable shell-to-shell continuity and to facilitate screened cable braid termination.
The maximum current rating is 100A and the operating temperature range is from -55 to +100C and the connectors are designed for use with single- and three-phase power supplies.
Coupling is by triple start ACME style threads with coupling nuts featuring coarse ribs for easy handling with gloved hands.
Leading earth and last-make/first-break pilot combined with recessed socket contacts ensure electrical safety at all times.
Conductor termination is by nonremovable solder contacts.
