Punch down and earth strap for connector
The RJ-LnxxT IP67 rated, sealed, industrial RJ-45 connectors, available in the UK from Aerco, are now available with IDC punch down and earth strap terminations.
Circuit breakers are "hot-swappable" and can also be used as an on/off switch to provide safe shutdown during equipment maintenance.
They are also safer because they avoid the risk of the fuses being replaced with an incorrect rating that could leave equipment vulnerable.
Unlike fuses, the replacement of which is time-consuming and unreliable, the 1180 circuit breaker can be reset immediately after a fault condition.
The 1180 series avoids nuisance tripping during harmless short-term surges such as in-rush current associated with motor start-up.
For this reason, a fuse can be replaced by a 1180 circuit breaker of lower current rating thus increasing the level of overload protection for devices that control factory equipment such as assembly lines, robots, heaters, and machine presses.
Designed for voltages up to 250V AC or 65V DC, the E-T-A 1180 series is available in current ratings ranging from 0.1 to 10A.
