TAK heat-shrink adapter kits for the popular Polamco PATT608 connector series are designed and developed to enhance termination performance and reduce cable assembly time to an absolute minimum.

TAK heat-shrink adapter kits for the popular Polamco PATT608 connector series are designed and developed to enhance termination performance and reduce cable assembly time to an absolute minimum The one-part "kit" consists of a development of the traditional backshell or adapter, which has been combined with a range of preterminated and shielded heat-shrinkable boots, improving levels of mechanical strain relief, electrical DC resistance and chemical and temperature performance

The popular TAK series has a pre-assembled construction that only requires one end to be shrunk to provide a combined 360-degree screening termination and a high degree of mechanical protection.

Cable preparation needs are kept to a minimum with extended areas of preloaded screen termination and mechanical adhesives.

Reliable long-term performance is further ensured by the use of a method of terminating the internal braid to the adaptor body via a special "magnaformed" ring.

This provides a high level of screening performance of 90dB up to 100MHz.

Due to the enhanced shrink ratio of the shield and boot system, the complete range consists of only four boots, each providing a high degree of cable size tolerance to accommodate between them the standard cable entry sizes from 03 to 24 for cables up to 35mm in diameter.

The high performance polymer used is a low fire hazard, zero halogen material that fully complies with BS G 198 DF material and Def Stan 59-35 for accessories for CECC75201-002 connectors.

As well as being easy to assemble, the TAK system provides the further benefit of a rollback capability enabling a facility of rework and repair of the connector, without the need for retermination or replacement of the adapter.

Competitively priced, they carry NATO codification and are widely used in military and marine applications worldwide.
