The new Smart Power Protection Relay from E-T-A combines the functions of a solid state relay and overcurrent protection for all 12 and 24V supplies.

Aerco now stocks the new Smart Power Protection Relay from E-T-A that provides the functions of a solid state relay and overcurrent protection for all 12 and 24V supplies and is a powerful alternative to electromechanical DC relays and fuses Designated Type E-1048-8I, this new inline relay requires a control current of less than 10mA and has a load-off current consumption of less than 1mA, making it ideal for use in battery-buffered, onboard electrical systems

Indication of line and group status and diagnostic functions are also available and a version is supplied that provides a 0-5V analogue output proportional to the load current that can be easily incorporated into the power management of the overall system.

A 7-pin inline version plugs into an E-T-A Type 17-P10-Si EN rail mounting socket and provides switching, protection and monitoring in the one device thus eliminating a number of terminations that are always a potential source of failure in onboard electrical systems or control cabinets.
