Punch down and earth strap for connector
The RJ-LnxxT IP67 rated, sealed, industrial RJ-45 connectors, available in the UK from Aerco, are now available with IDC punch down and earth strap terminations.
The ball-bearing mechanism provides easy connection by pushing on the backshell and simple disconnection by pulling on the coupling nut.
Extremely secure, disconnection cannot be made by pulling on the cable or backshell using normal force.
Available in two shell sizes housing three to nine gold plated, scoop-proof, contacts, the ABXS connectors employ a single keyway to ensure correct orientation for coupling and are rated for 500 mating cycles.
The shells are made from copper alloy with a choice of finishes in either black epoxy or nonreflective nickel.
The backshell has a grub screw to prevent it from spinning off and the coupling nut has an antirotation mechanism to prevent decoupling under prolonged periods of vibration and shock.
Versions environmentally sealed to IP65 are supplied for use in demanding environmental conditions.
