Aerotech has released a new 32-page information brochure examining cost effective solutions for a wide range of high precision manufacturing and test applications.
Component arrays mix and match ceramics
Each device can comprise an array of perfectly matched multilayer ceramic capacitors or a combination of MLCCs with dissimilar capacitance values and a mix of dielectrics.
Compact chip resistor handles high-energy pulses
The DSC chip resistor combines excellent power handling capabilities with good pulse withstanding performance and is available in standard chip sizes 1206, 2010 and 2512.
The stages offer several times higher throughput over conventional ballscrew and piezo electrically driven stages.
Closed loop resolution of the ANT linear stages is an industry leading 10nm, with 2.5nm resolution for the 5mm platform vertical ANT stage and 0.045 arc seconds resolution for rotary stages.
Advanced real-time axis calibration systems provide not only this outstanding accuracy but also speed - the ANT linear stages can travel at over 250mm/s even at 10nm resolution! The use of linear motor technology in the ANT stages means the positioning stage is noncontacting and is therefore virtually maintenance free.
This motion technology also means there is no cogging, no hysteresis or backlash and no loss of accuracy over time.
The modular nature of the ANT stages enables all manner of configurations to be assembled to meet specific process or production needs.
For example, the ANT Series has both linear and rotary elements.
Linear versions can be mounted flat (ANT25-L) or vertically (ANT-5V with 5mm travel or ANT-25V with 25mm travel).
A planar rotary translator, the ANT-20R is also available, together with two goniometric cradles (ANT-20G-50/90).
Additionally, Aerotech makes a rod type linear actuator (ANT-25A) with 25mm of travel that can be used in place of micrometers to automate previously manual positioning elements.
Turnkey drive and control electronics coupled with Aerotech's own user-friendly motion-control software makes integration of the ANT stages straightforward and quick to commission.
There is the option of using integrated vision systems, also from Aerotech. Request a free brochure from Aerotech ...
