Hot-pluggable transceiver for Fibre Channel
Agilent Technologies has announced volume availability of its 2Gbit/s small-form-pluggable (SFP) fibre-optic transceiver for Fibre Channel storage area networks (SANs).
"We are gaining tremendous momentum with our E-pHEMT PA modules", said Bryan Ingram, Vice President and General Manager of Agilent's Wireless Semiconductor Division.
"Their industry-best, power-added efficiency allows our customers to offer either additional features while maintaining battery life or phones with much longer battery life.
We now have design wins in 15 mobile phone models worldwide, including two of the top three handset manufacturers".
Agilent's E-pHEMT PA modules are available for both CDMA/AMPS and GSM handsets.
Of the CDMA modules, the ACPM-7813 addresses the 800MHz dual-mode band, and the ACPM-7833 operates in the 1900MHz (PCS) range for handsets and wireless data terminal applications.
The CDMA modules offer an industry-best PAE rating of 40%, with E-pHEMT technology that requires only a single, positive power supply.
The ACPM-7891 PA module is targeted at triband GSM/GPRS phones, and offers superior PAE of up to 60% in GSM band and 56% in both DCS and PCS bands.
Agilent is currently sending select customers samples of a new, miniature CDMA front-end module (FEM) that integrates an E-pHEMT PA with an FBAR duplexer that uses Agilent's innovative Microcap bonded-wafer chip scale packaging technology. Request a free brochure from Avago Technologies ...
