Agilent Technologies has introduced a series of surface-mount LEDs designed and qualified specifically for automobile interior and exterior lighting applications.
Hot-pluggable transceiver for Fibre Channel
Agilent Technologies has announced volume availability of its 2Gbit/s small-form-pluggable (SFP) fibre-optic transceiver for Fibre Channel storage area networks (SANs).
The new encoders from Agilent's Semiconductor Products Group offer this higher resolution with the size needed for high-volume printers.
Optical encoders detect the position, speed and direction of components such as print heads in inkjet printers, imaging drums and rollers in laser printers and photocopiers, and scan heads in optical scanners.
Greater precision in detecting these parameters results in higher quality printing and higher resolution scans.
Agilent's HEDS-973X-350 optical encoder offers a digital output with 480 line/in resolution, matching the highest resolution provided by any manufacturer for office automation applications.
Agilent's HEDS-971X-150 is an analogue-output encoder providing 360 line/in resolution, higher resolution than any analogue encoder designed for office automation applications.
The HEDS-971X-150 delivers an effective resolution of up to 1440 line/in when used with external interpolation techniques.
The HEDS-971X-150 operates over the +15 to +45C temperature range and requires only a single 5V supply.
The HEDS-973X-350 operates from -40 to +85C and can run off a 3.3 to 5V supply.
Both versions feature a 40kHz frequency count, making them compatible with high-speed operation.
The encoders are supplied in a lead-free module with dimensions of only 20.2 x 12.6 x 10.8mm.
Combining a highly collimated light source and a unique photodetector array, the module is extremely tolerant to mounting misalignment.
The standard modules are designed for use with an 11mm optical radius code wheel or linear code strip.
The Agilent HEDS-973X-350 and HEDS-971X-150 optical encoders are available now through Agilent's direct sales channel and worldwide distribution partners. Request a free brochure from Avago Technologies ...
