A new online application enables users to retrieve instant answers to technical questions, providing self-service technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Avago Technologies website now incorporates a new application that enables users to retrieve instant answers to technical questions This knowledge-base tool provides easy access to a repository of answers for a wide variety of technical and applications questions collected from Avago's customers and distribution partners over many years

The result is self-service technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

With Avago's knowledge base, a centralised, continuously updated database of questions and answers, technical articles and other materials is accessible to both visitors to the Avago website and its employees and worldwide distribution partners.

Now both customers and Avago technical support personnel have access to the same information at all times, resulting in improved communication and more effective support throughout all Avago sales channels.

The conventional search capability, which is still available, permits searching by keywords or product numbers with filters to search for application notes, datasheets, design guides, product change notifications, obsolescence notices, design tools, and quality and reliability data.

It is also possible to examine the products and technical information available for each major application of Avago's product families.

"Our goal for the knowledge base is to provide designers with an additional approach to finding the information they need to optimise their use of Avago's wide range of products", said Rebecca Lee, Online Marketing Manager at Avago Technologies.
