Based on Avago Technologies' LaserStream technology, the ADNS-6010 laser navigation sensor is optimised for the gaming environment and other specialised performance-intensive applications.
Laser illumination is superior to LED-based illumination and provides 20 times the surface-tracking power of an LED-based optical mouse.
Laser mice using this technology can easily track on painted metal, polished wood-grain, glossy photo paper, translucent plastic, frosted glass and many other previously difficult surfaces where LED-based mice fail.
The ADNS-6010 laser-based sensor is the latest success in a series of mouse sensors totaling in excess of 500 million units shipped by Avago since 1999.
Avago's mouse sensors, which range from inexpensive, entry-level LED-based models to high-precision laser versions, have established themselves as the standard in computer input devices.
"We are delighted to have received this prestigious award", said Ngoh Kee Hane, Vice President and General Manager of Avago Technologies' Navigation Products Division.
"Avago pioneered optical sensing for mouse technology and this award reflects our commitment to continue to lead the market with new, innovative LED and laser-based optical-mouse sensors". Request a free brochure from Avago Technologies ...
