Hot-pluggable transceiver for Fibre Channel
Agilent Technologies has announced volume availability of its 2Gbit/s small-form-pluggable (SFP) fibre-optic transceiver for Fibre Channel storage area networks (SANs).
The ACPL-M46T requires a low input LED drive current (10mA) that provides longer operating life and performance specified for automotive intelligent power module (IPM) applications over a wide temperature range of -40 to +125C.
Optimised for the HEV market, Avago's new optocoupler is qualified to meet automotive AEC-Q100 semiconductor stress test guidelines.
The ACPL-M46T also delivers a maximum propagation delay difference that enables a circuit designer to reduce switching dead time and improve inverter efficiency.
In addition, Avago's ACPL-M46T offers excellent common mode transient rate (CMR) of 15kV/us at VCM = 1500V which prevents erroneous driving of the IPM interface and ensures reliable operation under noisy operating environments.
Due to the high number of electrical components in hybrid electric vehicles, optoisolation products play a key role in the optimal performance of these cars.
The use of optocouplers in HEVs ensures electrical safety and integrity of the automobile while it is in operation.
Avago's new automotive-grade digital optocoupler is RoHS compliant and comes housed in a surface mount, SO-5 package.
The device includes an enhanced LED (10mA) for lower driving current and lower power consumption.
This IPM optocoupler has an enhanced wire bonding processes and an improved lead frame for added reliability and better heat dissipation.
Additionally, a high common-mode rejection ratio provides a high immunity to transient noises, EMI and ground loops eliminations.
Its compact size also makes it flexible for high-density automotive system design.
