Full physical layer test coverage for both sink and source of DisplayPort, reducing validation time and drastically increasing DisplayPort product reliability.

Parade Technologies, a leading company in high-speed video interfacing and processing products, has selected the Agilent real-time oscilloscope for DisplayPort testing In July 2007, Parade chose the Agilent J-BERT as its standard to validate new DisplayPort designs for the emerging video standard

DisplayPort is the digital display interface for computers, monitors and home-theatre systems aimed at lower implementation costs and improving video performance.

Agilent's DisplayPort physical layer test solution provides better signal integrity, particularly due to the DSO80804B real-time oscilloscope's automated test and analysis software.

Used together with the J-BERT N4903A, it provides full physical layer test coverage for both sink and source of DisplayPort, reducing validation time and drastically increasing DisplayPort product reliability.

"Agilent's strong commitment to DisplayPort and the superior performance of the Agilent DSO80000B Series real-time oscilloscope were key factors in our decision to update our DisplayPort receiver and transmitter devices", says Jack Zhao, President and CEO of Parade Technologies.

"The solution's signal integrity, its ease-of-use and the capability to upgrade its bandwidth hardware were proven in a thorough evaluation".

"Agilent set the de-facto standard for DisplayPort testing", says Brian Fetz, DisplayPort Technology and Solution Leader of Agilent's Digital Test Division.

"The availability and completeness of our solution ensures that the DisplayPort adopters can rely on the broadest test coverage for the critical compliance tests including real time scopes, fixtures, E4887A TMDS signal generator, TDR scope, network analyser and BERT jitter tolerance testing".

The Agilent DisplayPort test solution is available now.

Prices start at US $93,000, depending on the configuration.
