The AHA3431A-066 PQC compressor/decompressor IC is the latest addition to the StarLite family from Comtech AHA Corp.
The AHA3431A-066 PQC compressor/decompressor IC is the latest addition to the StarLite family from Comtech AHA Corp (CAC).
The device is designed specifically for memory-intensive products requiring lossless image compression, such as digital copiers, printers, and multifunction units.
Due to the popularity of 66MHz PCI interface, CAC has developed a 66MHz version of the AHA3431 device.
The new AHA3431-066 compresses and decompresses image data at 66Mbyte/s.
The average compression ratio is 15:1 for 1200dot/in bitmap image data.
Using the proprietary StarLite algorithm, the AHA3431 can simultaneously compress and decompress at full bandwidth.
It supports 264Mbyte/s burst rate over a 32bit databus.
Further enhancing the flexible interface is the 66Mbyte/s synchronous optional 8bit video in and video out port.
