Aries Electronics has introduced the first antistatic version of a tool that provides a fast, easy and inexpensive means of straightening the pins of DIP IC devices.
In addition to the new expedited delivery, both the Microstrip and Spring Probe product lines also feature easy part replacement at the test site as well as secure device placement.
Microstrip test sockets, which can be used for any pitch device up to 208 leads, feature replaceable Microstrip Contacts that enable the user to change out contact strips onsite.
The strips also hold the contacts in place for accurate lead placement.
Aries' Spring Probe test sockets incorporate easy-to-replace solderless, single-ended spring probes, also allowing the probes to be changed at the test site.
In addition, four locating posts ensure accurate mating between the socket test board and chip guides for accurate device location.
