A growing demand for reliability has led Trident Infotec to release a range of printer modules with new features tailored specifically for the kiosk market.

The Custom Engineering range of rugged specialised kiosk printers from Trident Infotec provides fast, reliable and rugged solutions to the demands of advanced kiosk design.

The range incorporates a variety of novel characteristics that enable design flexibility, including adjustable paper roll support to give designers an assortment of positioning options, potentially reducing the depth of kiosks considerably.

Additional features include a large paper roll capacity and modular construction that reduces the time spent on maintenance or service callouts.

With print speeds up to 220mm/s, users are quickly presented with their tickets or receipt via an illuminated paper mouth, helping to reduce confusion and impatience.

Further to the hardware features, optional status monitoring software, which allows remote interrogation to check that both the printer is functioning correctly and that there is enough paper remaining, is available for the new range.

The status monitor software can send e-mail or SMS messages to a service department or engineer in the field in the event of a fault, paper jam or to warn of low paper.
