PrimeGate of Tokyo is the new distributor in Japan for Actis Design, the EDA software supplier of tools and methods to enhance SystemC and HDL-based designs.

The appointment of PrimeGate is part of Actis Design's strategy to build a presence and solid customer base in Japan.

PrimeGate has rights to sell and support AccurateC Rule Checker and its newly introduced AccurateC Rule Generator.

"PrimeGate well understands the Japanese market and its rapid adoption of SystemC", notes Joan Bartlett, Actis Design's President.

"As a result, it is a good partner for us.

It understands the value of our AccurateC product line and is able to articulate that value to designers".

"Actis Design is developing a line of SystemC-based software that increases the quality and consistency of designs", adds Yoshinao Umeda, President and CEO at PrimeGate.

"As Japanese designers continue to adopt SystemC, they need advanced tools and methodologies, like those from Actis Design".
