The SI-8000 Series is a family of step-down switching regulator ICs with output voltage ratings from 1.5 to 12V and current outputs of 1.5 and 3A.

The SI-8000 Series is a family of step-down switching regulator ICs with output voltage ratings from 1.5 to 12V and current outputs of 1.5 and 3A.

Designed to produce a regulated output voltage from a higher-voltage input ranging from 18 to 50V, the new buck-convertor ICs are available in a variety of package styles including miniature DIP8 surface-mount types.

The family includes both fixed and adjustable output devices and single- and dual-output versions.

Operating frequencies range from 110 to 400kHz.

Features such as output enable, soft start, overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown are included as standard, and efficiency levels are between 80 and 85%.
