Compact surface-mount outline for LDOs
The SI-3000KM family of low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator integrated circuits is available in TO-252 surface-mount packages.
The new SI-3000KM, developed by Sanken Electric and available in Europe from Allegro MicroSystems Europe, is a family of low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator integrated circuits in TO-252 surface-mount packages The device is available in low-voltage (SI-3012KM) and high-voltage (SI-3010KM) versions

Integrated switching regulators cut PSU cost
Allegro Sanken now offers a range of integrated high-voltage switching regulators which allow the designer to produce the lowest-cost switch-mode power supply possible
The SI-3012KM offers fixed outputs of 1.8, 2.5 and 3.3V plus an adjustable output, whereas the SI-3010KM has 5, 9, 12 and 15V fixed outputs plus an adjustable output.
Output voltage is maintained to within +/-2%, and the dropout voltage is less than 0.5V at an output current of 1A.
The circuit current when the device is in the off state is less than 1uA.
Ripple rejection ratio is 55dB for the low-voltage devices and 75 dB for the high-voltage units.
Other features include an active-high enable function and built-in overcurrent and thermal protection.
The SI-3010KM also has an input overvoltage protection circuit.
