The A121x family of Hall-effect latches from Allegro MicroSystems Europe provides a drop-in replacement for the company's legacy A317x and A318x devices with improved performance and a wider variety of packaging options including lead-free plating The A1210, A1211, A1212, A1213 and A1214 Hall-effect latches are next-generation replacements for the popular Allegro A317x and A318x lines of latching switches

The A121x family, produced with BiCMOS technology, consists of devices that feature fast power-on time and low-noise operation.

Device programming is performed after packaging to ensure increased switch-point accuracy by eliminating offsets that can be induced by package stress.

Unique Hall element geometries and low-offset amplifiers help to minimise noise and to reduce the residual offset voltage normally caused by device over-moulding, temperature excursions and thermal stress.

Targeted at the consumer, computer/office, industrial and automotive markets, the A121x family is offered in a three-pin single in-line package (UA) or a three-pin surface-mount package (LH).
