The Johnstech Array Series of high performance test contactors are designed to support high speed digital, high speed memory and analogue/mixed signal applications.

The Johnstech Array Series of high performance test contactors which are designed to support high speed digital, high speed memory and analogue/mixed signal applications have been introduced in the UK by Alliance Sales (Europe) The Array Series contactors, which are designed to give higher first pass yields and minimise down-time, are configurable to package size and I/O count

The contactors feature an elastomeric design with a wiping action to break through solder oxides for enhanced electrical and mechanical performance.

YieldPro Array contactors test dual and standard row QFN, LGA, CSP, SOC, and BGA packaged devices.

The ability to match existing load board footprints provides cost savings, while providing the opportunity to upgrade to a high performance contactor.

A YieldPro Array contactor, which has three load board footprint options, including the ability to match to a spring pin footprint, can test leaded and pad packages in RF/wireless, analogue/mixed signal, and high speed memory applications.

For BGA applications, the elastomer provides a biasing force for vertical compliance; the V of the plunger provides a wipe action on the ball to penetrate solder oxides.

The standard housings of YieldPro Array contactors are made of Torlon 5030 which offers several electrical benefits to bandwidth/lower return loss.

Torlon 5030 material has a low dielectric constant so any material resting on top of traces will have less of an impedance effect on the traces and reduce "stripline effects".

Using Torlon 5030 also results in less mutual capacitance between contacts because of the lower dielectric constant.

A further advantage of Torlon 5030 is that the volume and surface resistivity is higher, resulting in 30 to 50% less current leakage between adjacent contacts.

Johnstech International Corpo designs and manufactures high performance test and interconnect products for the semiconductor industry.

Alliance Sales (Europe) is responsible for sales and technical support in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Finland of Johnstech's wide range of semiconductor test solutions and interconnect technologies.
