Networking system boosts security
Alpha Micro Components' MatchPort b/g Pro meets the data security needs of applications such as medical records and government data transmissions and financial transactions.
"The product has been specifically designed so that engineers using the MultiTech and Telecom Design products can literally drop our new module in and be up and running in minutes", explains Christos Papakyriacou, Managing Director, Alpha Micro Components.
"The engineering effort required is absolutely minimal".
The AMC336SKT is ideal for use in a wide range of applications including TV set top boxes, remote telemetry, lottery terminals and gaming machines, Internet connectivity, call logging systems, office machinery and security systems.
"Quick Connect" algorithms make the modem particularly suitable for banking and point of sale (PoS) environments where short call duration is critical.
"We initially developed the modem as a 'special' for one of our customers who had a very specific requirement", explains Papakyriacou.
"But we now feel there is enough demand in the market to make it available as an 'off-the-shelf' solution".
