Wireless modem module gains GPS functionality
Alpha Micro's AMC1802GSXLA dual-band GPRS/GSM embedded radio modem module is now available with optional GPS (Global Positioning System) functionality.
Christos Papakyriacou, Managing Director, Alpha Micro Components, comments: "Eazix is a very forward thinking company, with a similar objective to Alpha Micro: to work with OEM customers and distributors by offering embedded modules, ODM solutions and design services, reducing product time to market".
"They have a great range of GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi products which will be suited to many of our customers' requirements and compliment our other franchised lines".
The range of ODM modules that Eazix will be supplying will cover low datarate (Zigbee, IEEE802.15.4), medium datarate (Bluetooth, IEEE802.15.1) all the way to high datarate (Wi-Fi, IEEE802.11a), and has something to fit a vast array of wireless applications and electronic devices.
"Alpha Micro have a targeted and highly developed franchised range or products, which we knew Eazix's range would fit into perfectly".
"By having less product lines that are more focused allows Alpha Micro to spend more time on all of the products, so we are confident Eazix will get the attention it deserves", reinforces Bernie Santos of Eazix.
Eazix was set up by IMI and SIIX intending to support the growing need for research and development and product outsourcing.
Eazix enables customers to realise their ideas into products in the shortest possible time.
Like Alpha Micro, Eazix has in-house design engineers who can give advice as well as provide bespoke solutions and work with OEMs and distributors to assist in integrating devices into their products.
Papakyriacou sums up: "Eazix has a detailed and varied range of modules to suit industrial, consumer and corporate electronic applications".
"Its advanced GPS modules will enhance our already established range of components".
"We are extremely pleased that Alpha Micro has been chosen as one of only two UK distributors and see the Eazix range becoming very popular with our customers".
