Alrad Electronics has a new line of wideband clamp-on current monitors manufactured by Pearson Electronics, the highly respected US supplier of high precision current monitors.

The new design features a 0.5 or 1in aperture with a hinged type opening for easy operation.

The new design incorporates Pearson's wideband frequency response in a demountable configuration for use on fixed conductors.

The model 411C, typical of the group, has a sensitivity of 0.1V/A, a 3dB bandwidth from 25Hz to 20MHz, and a 5000A peak current rating.

Pulse rise times down to 20ns can be viewed.

Accuracy of 1%, or better, is obtainable across the midband.

Other models feature a 2.0ns rise time, or droop as low as 0.003%/us.
