Current monitors clamp on for accuracy
Alrad Electronics has a new line of wideband clamp-on current monitors manufactured by Pearson Electronics, the highly respected US supplier of high precision current monitors.
An example of one of the products is the GIPO series high voltage pulse generator Q-switch, patented - under licence from the French Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique (CEA).
It is a one-edged, fast pulsed, power supply module for the control of beam steering, gating, driving grids and other capacitive (high impedance) loads enabling the fast commutation of an optical signal (2.5ns).
The stability of the high voltage power supply integrated in the module is very high (10ppm/C).
The pulse output connector (BNC) will drive various devices including: Pockels' cells and Q switches in laser systems, microchannel plates, photomultiplier tubes, control grids of power vacuum tubes, acoustic transducers etc.
