AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) has introduced a low-cost clock generator that will save space and reduce component count in high-performance MPEG-2 applications such as DVD players.
In addition, she launched IBM's OEM ASIC business in 1993, growing it to the number one ASIC business in the world by 1999.

Building off of her experience in ASICs, King also launched IBM's networking technology semiconductor business and previously served as vice president of field engineering programs and global marketing.
Prior to those positions, King held various engineering positions at IBM.
