Walter Mattheus became COO following the acquisition of Alcatel Microelectronics in 2002.
At Alcatel Microelectronics, he served as general manager and COO since 1995.
Mattheus began his career with Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company which later became Alcatel Bell.
In 1983, he joined Mietec as Operations Director.
Mattheus obtained a masters degree and PhD in electrical engineering at the University of Leuven (Belgium).
Tony Denayer has had a stellar career with the AME organisation, dating back to 1989.
Denayer held a variety of management and engineering positions at AME.
Most recently, he served as general manager of the Automotive, Industrial and Peripherals Business Unit for AME.
As vice president of product development, he will oversee digital and mixed-signal product development and support in the USA and Europe.
Denayer holds a master of science degree in electrical engineering, completing his academic studies at Catholique de Louvain University and Libre de Bruxelles University.
Yolande De Busschop assumes the role as General Counsel, a position she held at AME.
She has also held a senior legal position in the European Specialty Chemicals and Plastics division of Phillips Petroleum Company from 1989 to 1999.
Between 1982 and 1989, De Busschop gained extensive experience in private practice, where she specialised in corporate and tax law.
De Busschop holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).
Tim Forhan, Senior Vice President of Quality, comes to AMIS from IBM's Microelectronics Division with 20 years of semiconductor experience.
He has held senior management positions in Fab Engineering, Quality, Design Services, X-86 Microprocessors and Silicon Germanium Communications Products.
Forhan earned an MBA at SUNY Buffalo in 1982 and a BS in ceramic engineering from SUNY Alfred in 1976.
Also joining the executive team as senior vice president of HR is Terri Timberman.
Previously Timberman was Vice President of HR at RadiSys Corporation.
She brings a wealth of human resources experience to this position including 25 years in various technology-related businesses.
Prior to her position with RadiSys, Timberman worked for other technology companies including Merix Corporation, Tektronix, and Triquint Semiconductor.
Timberman holds a bachelor of arts degree from Marylhurst University in organisational communication.
