Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jun 2, 2003

AMI Semiconductor has been recognised as a top preferred supplier for 2003 by Rockwell Collins.

AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) has been recognised as a top preferred supplier for 2003 by Rockwell Collins.

AMIS was cited for performance in meeting delivery schedules and product quality.

It was also recognised for design and engineering support and for the teamwork demonstrated in working with Rockwell Collins personnel.

A recognition plaque was presented at the recent Rockwell Collins annual supplier conference at the Rockwell Collins headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA.

AMI Semiconductor has been supplying electronic components to Rockwell Collins for more than a decade.

AMIS is currently designing ASICs for Rockwell Collins for use in the Airbus 380, the largest, most advanced, commercial airliner ever designed.

These ASICs are part of a Rockwell Collins-designed Ethernet switch system for aircraft datacommunication.

"We're very pleased to be recognised in this way by Rockwell Collins", said Vince Hopkin, VP Digital ASICs at AMIS.

"We strive every day to be a preferred and trusted semiconductor supplier to each of our customers.

This award is validation of our efforts in partnership with the team we work with inside Rockwell Collins".
