New role for Lesko
Charlie Lesko has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AMI Semiconductor (AMIS).
Charlie Lesko has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AMI Semiconductor (AMIS).
Lesko joins AMIS from Broadcom Corp, where he was Vice President of North American Sales.
Lesko has an extensive sales and marketing background in the semiconductor industry.
Past responsibilities include senior management roles at Axcelis Technologies and Teradyne.
In announcing the hire, Chris King, President and CEO of AMIS, said, "I am delighted that Charlie Lesko is joining AMI Semiconductor.
Charlie has an outstanding track record for building strong customer alliances within the semiconductor industry and will add strength to our new strategic initiatives which will help us grow as a market leader as we provide silicon solutions for the real world".
Lesko will report directly to Chris King.
He will work closely with AMIS corporate headquarters in Pocatello, its European operations in Belgium, various AMIS sales offices, and customer locations around the world.
While at Broadcom, Lesko managed sales, applications, customer service and marketing personnel.
He was also responsible for both the direct OEM and distribution sales channels.
Lesko holds an MBA degree in finance from the University of Dallas.
He earned a BS degree in engineering at State University of New York - Stony Brook.
