Guidant rewards supplier quality leadership

AMI Semiconductor has received a "supplier quality leadership award" from medical device industry giant, Guidant Corp.

AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) has received a "supplier quality leadership award" from medical device industry giant, Guidant Corp.

Guidant is a world leader in the treatment of cardiac and vascular disease.

The quality leadership award was presented at Guidant's annual supplier day.

Receiving the award was Al Morrison, Vice President of the AMIS foundry business unit.

This is AMI Semiconductor's second preferred supplier award and the company is one of only six repeat winners to be given this honour over the last five years.

AMIS was cited for performance in supply, product quality, customer service, technology and cost.

It was also recognised for engineering support and for the teamwork demonstrated in working with Guidant personnel.

AMI Semiconductor has been supplying mixed-signal and digital silicon foundry solutions to Guidant for more than a decade and is currently manufacturing custom silicon solutions for a broad array of Guidant's products that enable less invasive care for some of life's most threatening medical conditions.
