ASIC maker wins Rockwell Collins
President's Award

The developer and manufacturer of two high-reliability data-networking, 180nm standard-cell ASICs for use in the Boeing 787 program has won Rockwell Collins' President's Award for 2006.

AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) has been presented with the President's Award for 2007 by Rockwell Collins' Chairman, President and CEO Clay Jones, during the company's annual supplier conference Rockwell Collins awarded the President's Award to AMIS for its support in the development and first production delivery of key digital ASICs for the Boeing 787 program

AMIS led design activity and manufacturing of two high-reliability data-networking, 180nm standard-cell ASICs, crucial to the Rockwell Collins' program.

"AMI Semiconductor has demonstrated outstanding performance as a supplier to Rockwell Collins", says Roger Weiss, Vice President of Material and Supply for Rockwell Collins.

"They embody our philosophy of supply chain management by getting the right part to the right place at the right time".

AMIS was also named ASIC/MMIC/FPGA Commodity Supplier of the Year.

The Supplier of the Year award is an acknowledgement of significant contributions made during the year by suppliers and is based upon quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead time, and customer service.

"Rockwell Collins has been a strategic customer for AMIS for more than two decades", says Mike O'Neill, AMIS Senior Vice President of the Military/Aerospace, Communications and Digital Products/Services Group.
