Dynamic Hearing has selected the Ezairo 5900 series of integrated circuits and packaged hybrids for its latest suite of high-end sound processing algorithms for hearing aids.

Dynamic Hearing, a company that develops advanced solutions for hearing aids, has selected the Ezairo 5900 series of integrated circuits and packaged hybrids for its latest suite of high-end sound processing algorithms The Hearing Aid Designer contains an entire suite of sophisticated sound processing algorithms for hearing aids that sets the benchmark for music, conversation, business, leisure, and life

These algorithms are combined within a FrameWork which streamlines and reduces the development process, creating high featured, differentiated products quickly.

The patented ultra-low-delay signal processing of the Designer operates over a 12kHz bandwidth to render superior sound quality.

In addition, the suite is capable of processing multiple advanced algorithms simultaneously, such as adaptive feedback management, automatic adaptive directional microphone processing and noise reduction.

The high performance and superior sound quality delivered by use of the Hearing Aid Designer is enhanced by the highly flexible and integrated system architecture of Ezairo 5900.

The Ezairo 5900 series features a 24bit precision open programmable DSP core combined with a highly reconfigurable Hear accelerator engine.

This unique dual-core architecture allows Dynamic Hearing algorithms to run with an optimal balance between performance and power consumption.

Ezairo 5900 includes all necessary on-chip peripheral blocks to directly interface with transducers, battery and controls.

As such, the Hearing Aid Designer, running on Ezairo 5900, combines extremely high performance and functionality while using battery power sparingly, thus enabling manufacturers to produce discrete, attractive and comfortable hearing aids for use in every listening situation.

"When we designed the Ezairo 5900 series, our primary focus was on performance, without compromising flexibility and power consumption", said Michel De Mey, Senior Director, Hearing and Audio Solutions at AMI Semiconductor.

"We are pleased to see that Dynamic Hearing's state-of-the-art software suite takes full advantage of our new architecture and truly demonstrates the high precision sound and computing capability of our technology".

"With Ezairo 5900's high precision sound attributes, we were able to run additional high frequency amplification to deliver natural sound to the ear", said Dr Elaine Saunders, CEO of Dynamic Hearing.

"Also, the ample available computing capability allows us to achieve higher performance from our algorithm suite and will enable manufacturers to quickly integrate our new algorithms as they become available in the future".
