Companies who have outgrown their existing UPS systems no longer need to scrap them under an innovative new scheme launched by APC Under the scheme, called Trade-UPS, companies can trade in any brand of UPS system, regardless of its working condition, for the latest APC UPS technology

Those taking advantage of the scheme will qualify for up 40% off the cost of the new equipment.

The new equipment comes with a full two-year warranty and APC will even collect and dispose of larger units.

APC is ISO 14001 accredited, therefore the old UPSs are disposed of or recycled in accordance with all UK and European environmental legislation.

The scheme gives users the option of significantly upgrading their level of power protection.

Companies can trade in up to double the VA of their current UPS capacity or trade in multiple UPSs for larger upgrades.

"Currently the pace of change in IT infrastructure is rapid.

Companies can quickly find themselves vulnerable to power problems as they expand their server capacity or add additional communications equipment to cope with business demands", said Paul Tyrer, SSG Channels Manager at APC.

"Trade-UPS means that companies can extend their return on investment on their existing equipment while at the same time being able to upgrade to the market-leading power protection solutions provided by APC".
