The Back-UPS ES family of uninterruptible power supplies provides continuous power and hardware protection for desktop computers, removing the risk of lost data and downtime due to power outages and other transients With up to eight power outlets, Back-UPS ES can be used to simultaneously protect a number of devices including monitors, scanners, printers, mobile phone chargers and many more household appliances

The range of Back-UPS ES models includes the ES 400 with up to 35 minutes of runtime, ES 550 with up to 44 minutes and ES 700 which offers up to 58 minutes of runtime.

The new range is economically priced, the ES 400 is available at GBP 48.99, the ES 550 at GBP 62.99 and the flagship ES 700 at a retail price of GBP 69.99.

All units incorporate phone/fax/modem and DSL line surge protection to prevent accidental damage caused by "back-door" power surges, plus LED status indicators.

Selected units include a coax connector to provide surge protection for TV signal cables.

All models in the Back-UPS ES range are compatible with APC's PowerChute Personal Edition software (supplied as standard with the ES 550 and ES 700), which is considered to be the industry's easiest to use solution for automatic and graceful hardware shutdown in the event of a power failure.

All three models carry a three year repair or replace warranty.

The Back-UPS ES range is also supplied with an equipment protection policy.
